Many of the artists in The Jumble Art Collective are autistic. We love Anything But Autistic for raising awareness about the tendency for health professionals to diagnose autistic people incorrectly many times before they learn they’re actually autistic.Â
This is a great resource for autistic people to learn about themselves and for neurotypical people to gain some autism awareness.
Check out our friendBella’s blog. She’s been a writer for as long as any of us that know her can remember. She gets personal, political, and covers some tough topics. Bella advocates for human rights and a variety of important issues, especially mental health.
While we don’t claim all her viewpoints as our own, we love that she writes to raise awareness.
Check out herLinktree for some awesome resources if you’re interested in supporting the causes that she is passionate about.
Scrap is our local supply store. It’s a creative reuse center where you can donate materials or buy all kinds of secondhand crafting materials. They also provide educational programs in our area.
We love having a sustainable way to shop for the art supplies we need. We also like bringing stuff we know we won’t use to their donation center.
