An image of trees on a fall day with leaves on the ground. Over the image is white writing with a black background. The writing is a poem titled "Michigan (Planning a Trip)" The poem says "Maple over the river, a statue of the spirit, a robin is singing as apple blossoms are starting to bloom. From Superman ice cream to a Superman shot, I guess things barely change as we're growing up. We'll go up north to see a lighthouse, and we'll stop for coney dogs and fries. We'll drink Vernors if Faygo is too sweet, and you'll ask how many minutes are left in the drive. We'll walk along the lake as we eat fudge for dessert, and we'll look for Petoskey stones. When should we leave? Morels, tulips, or cherries? I can't hold your hand while I show you where we'll go. I'll tell you about the time I caught a trout as we watch a white tailed deer. "Ope, lemme sneak past ya," you can see the stars from here. Flowers in the spring and snow fall in the winter. Woods, dunes, lakes, cities, views. It spans beyond the picture."

A poem written in black over a blue sky above a fall tree line. The poem is titled "Up North" and says "Silent, serene solitude. Smells of pine and coffee, freshly brewed. Antlers are revealed as the sun rises pink. We join on the porch as the birds start to sing. Some want to travel across skies and seas. Although I enjoy that, I simply want peace. To simply stroll as I follow the stream. To trample new trails through vast acres of trees. My battery’s dead, I turned off the TV. In all four seasons, I don’t want to leave."
